🧵 Craft Club
Welcome to the Rohingya Craft Club. Our club meets once a week and these videos will help you learn sewing skills using instructions in the Rohingya language.
2. The loan sewing machine belongs to the Craft Club.
3. You must attend Craft Club regularly to keep the sewing machine loaned to you.
4. If your sewing machine does not work, you must message Michele on WhatsApp. She will collect and take to be repaired. If the sewing machine has been damaged by your children, the cost to fix will be paid by you.
5. If you move away from Blenheim you must return your sewing machine to the Craft Club.
6. Can you please pack the sewing machine you have been using back in its box before you leave.
7. Take note of how your machine is threaded before changing the cotton.
8. Please check to make sure you have the bobbin in the correct way.
9. When you have the machine you are using threaded correctly, please run a short line of stitching on a piece of scrap fabric to ensure the tension is correct.
10. If you want to look for fabric in our storeroom, you must ask Michele first. If she is not at class ask one of our other volunteers. Do not help yourself. This donated fabric is to be shared amongst everyone.
11. We are sewing for charity today.
12. The "With love" bags and KIN (Kids in need) bags are donated to families in need at Wairau Hospital.
13. The quilts we are making are gifted to sick children in Wairau Hospital.
